Job Overview:
We are seeking engineers to create the design of a digital circuit from a high-level specification. The designer will work with the systems and software teams to create digital systems that can be delivered to the customer in a minimum number of design cycles. The goal of the design is to satisfy high level requirements with a minimum of cost and effort while maximizing reliability, design reuse and simplicity. Key Responsibilities:
– Component selection and entry into the design environment;
– Simulation of key circuits;
– Prototyping or measuring vendor provided evaluation boards;
– Schematic entry;
– Printed circuit board layout guidance;
– Verification;
– Design documentation, verification documentation;
– Support the manufacturing process;
– Repair and diagnosis of returned units;
– FPGA design (HDL, simulation).
Requirements:
– B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering;
– Minimum 5 years experience designing high and low speed digital circuits;
– Experience with test equipment and methodologies;
– Strong problem solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills;
– Ability to work in a team environment;
– Excellent communication skills and fluency in English;
– Sound decision making based upon analysis, common sense, experience and risk.
Nice to Have:
– Experience with modern high speed busses (DDR4, NAND, NOR, Ethernet);
– Experience with high speed SERDES (CPRI, SGMII, etc.);
– Experience with Linux scripting such as Bash, Python, or others;
– Experience in switched mode power supplies;
– Experience in design for EMC / EMI and compliance testing.
