Gateway EUI

What is it?

In a LoRaWAN® network, the gateway EUI differs from the Wi-Fi MAC address printed on the back of the gateway. Instead, it is derived from the first number typically found in the form 58A0CBxxxxxx, which is printed on the top of the sticker below the QR code.

How does it work?

For instance, if the number is 58A0CB800BE7, it is necessary to append FFFE after the first 6 characters, resulting in a 16-character gateway EUI (e.g., 58A0CBFFFE800BE7).

This EUI can later be found at the bottom of the Wi-Fi setup screen.
