Smart Architecture
What is it?
Smart architecture is planning and including complex smart systems that maximize the efficiency of a facility’s operation and enhance its occupants’ well-being. It takes account of the occupants’ health and keeps the facility secure by using smart safety systems.
Implementation of smart architecture results in simplified data collection, improved maintenance thanks to technologies like digital twins, and more effective resource usage due to monitoring energy consumption.
How does it work?
The main smart architecture components are
- IoT sensors
- analytics software
- user interface
- connectivity
Sensors are designed to track the environment, e.g., temperature, motion, light, air, etc. They communicate with the access point and share information with the gateway. Afterward, this data is stored in the cloud.
Analytics software serves to analyze the information for further action. At the same time, the user interface, which embraces displays, computer screens, and language options, enables actual utilization of the systems.
Lastly, the function of connectivity is to allow for storing, sharing, analyzing, and using data.
