Yes. COMFORT v2 can output a signal to a shutoff valve, so a detected leak triggers automatic water shutoff without waiting for staff. This is the main difference between COMFORT v2 and any other alert-only leak sensors.
Yes. Two waterproof USB-C connectors accept multiple probes or leak-sensing cables, so one device can cover a water heater, a riser and an appliance at once.
A leak probe detects water at a single spot, such as directly under a water heater or in a drip tray. A leak rope is a sensing cable that detects water anywhere along its length, so it suits longer areas such as along a wall, around an appliance or under a run of pipes. COMFORT v2 can connect up to two ropes or probes, each up to 3 m long.
Place leak sensors under water heaters, washing machines, dishwashers, sinks and pipes, and in basements, risers and plant rooms. LoRaWAN range reaches these hard-to-wire spots without extra cabling or gateways on every floor.
COMFORT v2 runs for years on a single CR2477 battery and reports remaining battery as a percentage. Its IP65 enclosure protects it from water splashes in wet locations.
No. COMFORT v2 sends alerts over LoRaWAN, so it needs no Wi-Fi, mains power or data cabling. It only needs coverage from a LoRaWAN gateway, which can reach basements, risers and plant rooms. Leak ropes and probes plug straight into the sensor.
Yes. With the embedded network server on a TEKTELIC KONA gateway, each COMFORT v2 leak state is exposed as a BACnet/IP object or Modbus register, so the BMS can raise an alarm or close a valve through its existing logic.
