TECHNICAL AND FUNCTIONAL SYSTEM SPECIFICATIONS
What does IP67 mean?
IP stands for “Ingress Protection” and serves as the International Protection Marking. Developed by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), IP ratings indicate how well a product protects against the entrance of solid or liquid particles, mainly dust and water.
If a product has an IP67 rating, that indicates it is “waterproof.” The 6 indicates “complete protection against dust over extended time” as well as “protection against contact with objects greater than 1mm in diameter, such as a wire or a small tool.” The 7 indicates the system is “protected against short periods of immersion in water while under pressure between 15cm and 1m.”
What are the main areas of SEAL application?
The SEAL is an ideal solution for geo localizing your personnel in the field:
- Lone Worker safety
- Hazardous Worker Safety
- Industrial/Oil & Gas Work sites
An employer should manage any health and safety risks before people can work alone. Lone workers are those who work by themselves without close or direct supervision, for example:
- as delivery drivers, health workers or engineers
- as security staff or cleaners
- in warehouses or petrol stations
- industrial, oil & gas sectors.
TEKTELIC SEAL is the right choice to easily locate and monitor lone workers, reduced workplace incidents and improve overall safety.
