TEKTELIC PELICAN is a rugged, long-life LoRaWAN and BLE asset tracker for challenging RF and industrial environments, such as manufacturing sites, rail and shipping yards, and equipment storage.
PELICAN locates assets with BLE: in Tracker Mode it scans nearby BLE beacons and reports them over LoRaWAN; in Beacon Mode it broadcasts BLE signals for other devices to detect. It does not use GPS for GNSS tracking, choose ORCA or STORK.
PELICAN offers 16+ years of battery life in Tracker Mode and approximately 4.5 years in Beacon Mode, depending on reporting frequency, network conditions and configuration. Its intelligent motion-based reporting reduces unnecessary transmissions when assets remain stationary, helping extend battery life.
Yes. PELICAN has a rugged IP67 enclosure for outdoor and industrial installations exposed to dust, rain, and washdown.
Choose PELICAN for rugged outdoor and industrial asset tracking where IP67 protection and extended battery life are important. Choose SPARROW for compact indoor applications such as hospitals, offices and warehouses. Both support BLE Tracker and Beacon modes, but SPARROW has an IP30 enclosure.
Yes. PELICAN works with standard LoRaWAN gateways and network servers, is onboarded with TEKTELIC LeapX, and is managed through TEKTELIC LOCUS.
